The LEHLE SWITCH BTN is a momentary foot switch. It is housed in an M12 threaded enclosure made of stainless steel. Thanks to the gold plated contact material its life span is at least one million switching cycles electrically and mechanically. The LEHLE SWITCH BTN withstands an actuation force of 1,000 N, which is a force equivalent to approximately 100 kg or 220 pounds. Despite this it also has a smooth switching feeling when pushed by hand.
If you choose the LEHLE SWITCH BTN as a replacement part it will fit straight into any hole of an existing foot switch that has a M12 or 15/32 UNS thread.

Q: Can I replace any footswitch with the LEHLE SWITCH BTN?
A:
The LEHLE SWITCH BTN can replace any momentary switch with 2 connectors which is normally "open".
Q: What is a momentary switch?
A:
As its name implies, a momentary switch button switches momentarily -
that is, just the moment you push it. The 2 wires let the signal pass
only when the switch is pushed. Once released, the wires are
disconnected and don’t let the signal pass. This momentary function is
used to trigger relay-based FlipFlop circuits such as the true bypass
system LEHLE MODULE SW.
Q: What is the advantage of a momentary switch?
A:
Due to less mechanical stress inside, momentary switches have a much
longer life span and can be used in many more situations. Since there's
no audio signal passing through – it's only used to trigger specific
functions – the possibilities are endless.
Q: The footswitch in my pedal makes a loud noise. Can I replace it with the LEHLE SWITCH BTN?
A:
If it's a momentary switch with 2 connectors and the noise is
mechanical, you can replace it with the LEHLE SWITCH BTN. If the noise
comes from your speaker, there's a chance you have a DC-offset on your
signal. In which case the LEHLE DC-FILTER is what you require.
Q: Does the switch make a loud click when pressed?
A:
No. There's a soft click, unlike most other switches or buttons.
Q: Can I send you my effects pedals to modify?
A:
Unfortunately we don't offer this service. But we can direct you to some
of our friends who can modify your pedal with the LEHLE SWITCH BTN.
Q: My current effects pedal creates a loud pop which is audible from the speaker. Can I modify it with the LEHLE SWITCH BTN?
A: If your pedal contains a momentary switch with 2 connectors, you can replace it with the LEHLE SWITCH BTN. If this doesn’t remove the noise, there’s a chance you have a DC-offset on your signal. In which case the LEHLE DC-FILTER is what you require.
Q: I don't know if the LEHLE SWITCH BTN will fit into my effects pedal. Can I send you a photo?

Unfortunately not. Most likely it's a latching switch (3PDT) and not a momentary switch.
Q: Which connections need to be soldered where?
A:
Since the LEHLE SWITCH BTN closes the contact between the 2 connections, you can’t connect them the wrong way around.
Q: What's the diameter of the LEHLE SWITCH BTN?
